Here is an inside look at what goes on with the Hopkins Academy pep band.
5:30: Everyone starts to arrive and does some pre-rehearsal jamming.
6:00: Rehearsal – some songs are rehearsed and we prepare to go out to the court.
Halftime of the JV game (about 6:30): All the equipment is loaded up and brought out onto the court; the drums are set up and all the microphones are checked.

After set-up (about 6:50): everyone reconvenes in the band room until the varsity players come out to practice, which is usually somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30.

Now, picture this – Joey Milewski, a junior here at Hopkins, starts to play a song on his guitar, the theme song from the movie Kill Bill.  Suddenly, when the whole band enters, the team comes out of the locker room and on to the court.  If you want to know more come to one of the upcoming home games at the Hopkins gym. You won’t be disappointed, I guarantee it.
