On Monday, September 19th, the JV Boys took the long bus ride to face
off against Pioneer Valley Regional. Just like the game against Smith
Academy, Hopkins struck first and early, this time from Pat Knightly.
Hopkins had plenty of missed shots in the first half, but was on the
offensive for most of the time. Late in the first half, Hopkins
goalie Ethan Sanderson made a great diving save to keep the score 1-0
going into the second half. The early part of the second half was
uneventful until Cole Burdell scored his first goal of the season to
increase the Hopkins lead 2-0. Hopkins was on the offensive for the
remainder of the game with little chance for Pioneer. Hopkins won the
game 2-0.
