Coming into this week there are a lot of big matchups and must-win games for the NFL teams that are making a push towards the postseason. As well as having a lot of good matchups this week we also can enjoy our Thanksgiving meals while watching some football with three games being played on Thursday. This is going to be a big week so here is a look at players and teams that should really up their games in order to help their team come out victorious.
Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford: After a loss to the Bucs the Lion are desperate for a win to remain atop the division. Stafford threw 4 interceptions against the Bucs and was very displeased with how he played, and as a result of his poor play Calvin Johnson didn’t have a great week. I expect both of these players to bounce back and have great games against the Packers on Thanksgiving Day.
Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown: Coming off of their third straight win the Steelers find themselves a game out of the final wildcard spot. The Ravens are also in the same position but just are not on as big of a roll as the Steelers. Over the past 3 weeks we have seen Ben connecting with Brown on a lot of plays and not even the Ravens defense will be capable of stopping them. I expect Roethlisberger to have 300+ yards and 3 TDs and Brown to have around 100 yards and 1 TD.
Peyton Manning: After leading 24-0 nothing against the Patriots on Sunday Night the Broncos ended up losing the game in overtime in what was a chance to take control of their division by one game. I’m looking for Peyton Manning to step up big here and avoid back to back losses in what I predict will be a blowout win for the Broncos over the Chiefs. Look for Manning to have 400+ yards and 4 TDs and gain full control of the division.
Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham: A big game against the Seahawks on MNF should be a great end to an already exciting week of football. The Saints are coming off a win against the Falcons on Thursday Night and they did not look all that great. I expect Drew Brees to have a great game to remind people just how good the Saints are. 350+ passing yards and 4 TDs and look for his favorite target, Jimmy Graham, to have 125+ yards and 1 TD.
