The Hopkins Academy Boy’s Basketball team is scheduled to play McCann Tech on Tuesday February 25th, at 7:00 pm. The game is going to be held at Hopkins Academy. Hopkins is seeded 6th, McCann Tech is seeded 11th.

This season the Hopkins boys finished off with an overall record of 12-8 to clinched the sixth seed and receive a home playoff game. Hopkins had signature wins against teams like Greenfield, Pioneer, and Frontier. So far it has been a good season for the Hawks and they are looking to continue. In the last three years, Hopkins had only won 6 games going into this year. In the 2011-2012 season, Hopkins finished off the year 0-20 and had no hope of moving forward, until coach Angelo Thomas came along. Coach Thomas got into his team’s heads and made them believe that they can play with and beat any team in their division. Since then, things have been looking up for the Hawks as they approach tournament. The last Hopkins Boys team to make playoffs was led by 1000 point scorer Tyler Hammond and coached by Fred Ciaglo in 2004.

Come support the boy’s team play against McCann Tech and spread the word.
